How it works

Your Mac does the storing. Your Claude does the thinking.

Aldyn has no server of ours to talk to. It exposes itself to Claude Desktop as an MCP server — a local, 24-tool surface over the running app — so the reasoning happens on the Claude subscription you already pay for, with no API key to manage and nothing metered per token.

Mail arrives

The poller pulls your connected inboxes over IMAP — INBOX and Sent — and extracts the text of every attachment into a local Postgres.

Claude reads it

A Cowork session drains Aldyn's request queue through MCP: it reads the mail, the case and the documents, entirely on your machine.

It gets filed

Right business, right attorney, right case. One tracked item per ask, a reply drafted, and items the latest correspondence already satisfies proposed as done.

You send

You approve the completions and send the reply from Aldyn's composer. The AI never sends anything on your behalf.

Local by architecture

Taxpayer data that never touches our infrastructure.

This isn't a privacy setting you switch on. Nrdyn operates no server that Aldyn talks to, so there is nothing for us to see, store, subpoena or lose.

  • Postgres and Redis run in Docker containers on your Mac. There is no hosted database and no cloud sync.
  • The app listens on localhost:8000 only — no inbound network exposure, no firewall changes needed.
  • Your Gmail App Password is encrypted at rest with a passphrase you choose (PBKDF2 + Fernet). Your real Google password is never seen.
  • Attachments and extracted text stay in data/attachments/ on your disk. Back it up, move it, or delete it — it's yours.
  • Nrdyn receives no telemetry, no analytics, no crash reports and no copies of your mail.
  • AI features run through your own Claude Desktop subscription — so case content you send to the AI is processed by Anthropic under your Claude agreement, not ours. The privacy policy spells out exactly what that covers.
  • Every action is written to a local, human-readable audit log.
  • Turn the AI off and document search, filing, deadlines and mail keep working.

Not on an app store

Because it isn't a cloud product.

Aldyn is a Mac app that brings its own database with it, so we hand it to you directly as a signed-off installer rather than through a storefront. The .dmg carries the app image, Postgres, Redis and the installer — you drag it to Applications and the first launch does the rest, including registering Aldyn with Claude Desktop.

First launch takes one to three minutes: it verifies Docker, loads the bundled images, starts the stack, and opens the app at localhost:8000. Total install time, prerequisites included, is about 10–15 minutes.
